Commercial Production Centre

For the global availability of the foot pieces, a "Jaipur Foot Production Centre" has been set up at Gandhigram in 2001.

This has been funded by Fundacion Heres Trust of Spain. TVS, which has a modern rubber factory with a large R & D Centre in Madurai, worked with us, under a research project to upgrade the rubber formulations in Jaipur Foot in a DST Funded Programme. A collective research programme led to the establishment of a manufacturing centre at Gandhigram with considerable reduction in prices.
